Superintendent Message

Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,

I am pleased to share some exciting news from the Idaho State Report Card for the 2025–2026 school year.

I want to extend special congratulations to our kindergarten through third-grade students, their teachers, paraprofessionals, literacy facilitators, and administrators. Preston School District ranked #1 among Idaho’s 25 largest school districts on the Idaho Reading Indicator (IRI).

This is an outstanding accomplishment. Eighty-three percent of our kindergarten through third-grade students scored at the proficient level on the IRI.  This puts Preston School District 12.6 percentage points above the state average, an achievement of which our entire school community can be proud.

This success reflects the commitment and collaboration of our students, teachers, paraprofessionals, literacy facilitators, administrators, and families. Thank you to everyone who played a role in supporting our students and helping them become stronger readers.
